Nigel Bunt
Nigel Bunt began his involvement in AM in the late 1990s, introducing the early SLS machines in the UK for German AM pioneer EOS. In 2001, he began representing Arcam and Objet, and later Stratasys, acquiring extensive experience and knowledge in additive manufacturing in both metals and polymers. After the sale of his distribution company, he became part of the management team at Arcam, which was purchased in 2016 by GE Additive. Nigel continued to consult to GE Additive after the acquisition, gaining insight into the product line of Concept Laser, which also has been acquired by GE (NYSE:GE).
Nigel has a strong machine-tool background, through his work with CNC turning and milling machines, finishing/grinding systems and EDM machines in the aerospace, automotive sector and general manufacturing industries. He has worked on the industrialization of AM and its integration into the broader manufacturing world, participated in projects in Asia, Europe and North America.
Nigel holds a degree in mechanical engineering from Coventry University in the United Kingdom.
Joseph Kowen
Joseph Kowen has been a consultant, marketing executive and business-development professional for many years in the additive manufacturing and 3D printing industry, and has held various senior positions in the AM segment since 1999. He is one of the principal authors of the Wohlers Reports 2017 and 2018, the leading review of the state of the AM industry. He specializes in business development, sales and marketing strategies, distribution channels, intellectual property and business strategy.
Joseph served as vice president of sales and marketing at Voxeljet AG (NYSE:VJET), a manufacturer of industrial 3D printing systems in Augsburg, Germany. Previously, he served as vice president of marketing at Objet, now a part of Stratasys (NASDAQ: SSYS). He also has extensive experience in dental AM applications. Earlier, Joseph worked in senior marketing roles at Iscar Ltd., a manufacturer of tungsten-carbide cutting tools, now a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway. He resided for 3 years in São Paulo, working as President of Iscar Brazil.
Joseph holds a bachelor of law degree from Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel, and an MBA from Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, USA.
